CSE 2024 Annual General Meeting
The time has come again for the Canberra Society of Editors’ Annual General Meeting (AGM). The 2024 AGM will be held (online only) on Wednesday 30 October at 6.30pm. Please join us for an update from President Eris Harrison, to vote on a special resolution and to nominate for and elect the 2024–25 CSE Committee. You can use the link provided below to register for access to the meeting.
Special resolution: retired membership category
The CSE committee is proposing to establish a new category of membership for editors who are retiring from the profession and no longer working as editors in any capacity. Full professional and honorary life members will be asked to vote on this special resolution at the 2024 AGM. A copy of the resolution will be sent to all current members before the AGM for consideration. You can email secretary@editorscanberra.org if you are unable to attend the meeting so we can help you nominate a proxy.
Join the CSE committee
Joining the CSE committee offers a great opportunity to meet other CSE members and contribute to the ongoing development of our organisation. Nominations for all positions will be open.
We encourage all CSE members to consider nominating for a role, noting that the office bearing roles (President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary) can only be filled by full professional or honorary life members. How to register
You can register here for the CSE 2024 Annual General Meeting. You will receive a meeting link and information for joining the online meeting after the Secretary confirms your membership status.
While all CSE members are welcome and encouraged to attend, the AGM requires a quorum of 20 financial professional members or honorary life members. Your registration helps us check that we're on track to reach this requirement.
You will be able to join the meeting in the Zoom app, through a web browser, or by phone, but you will need to register via the zoom website. Registrations will close at 1pm on Wednesday 30 October. Please email secretary@editorscanberra.org if you have any trouble registering. You can also email this address if you are unable to attend the AGM online and would like to nominate a proxy to vote on your behalf.
